CAP Rajasthan is an independent, non-profit research and advocacy organisation based in Rajasthan, India. We publish research articles, opinion pieces, surveys, and reports, and conduct public scholarly programmes including the CAP Lecture Series.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Newsletter and lecture registration: name, email address, WhatsApp number, institution, and any optional information you submit through our forms.
- Scholar Help Desk submissions: the details you choose to share when seeking guidance.
- Submissions for publication: name, contact information, professional affiliation, and the manuscript text.
- Comments on articles: name, email, and the content of your comment.
- Direct correspondence: any information you send via email, phone, or WhatsApp.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically:
- Log data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and time spent on each page.
- Cookies and similar technologies: small data files stored on your device (see Section 5).
- Analytics data: aggregated traffic statistics collected via Jetpack Stats and (if enabled in the future) Google Analytics.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
If you interact with us through social platforms (LinkedIn, X, YouTube, WhatsApp), we may receive limited public profile information from those services in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
- To send you new articles, surveys, lecture invitations, and other organisational updates only if you have subscribed.
- To process and respond to Scholar Help Desk requests, lecture registrations, submissions, and contact form messages.
- To moderate, publish, and respond to comments.
- To analyse Site traffic and improve content, navigation, and user experience.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse.
- To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever. We do not share your data with political parties, government bodies, or commercial entities for marketing purposes.

Where applicable (for example, for users in the European Union), we process personal data under the following legal bases:

6.1 Third-Party Services Currently in Use
- Jetpack (Automattic Inc.) — basic analytics, security, subscription management, and contact forms. Automattic Privacy Policy
- Google Fonts — typography is served from Google’s servers, which may collect IP addresses for delivery.
- YouTube (Google LLC) — embedded videos may set cookies; subject to Google’s privacy policy.
- GTranslate — for multi-language Site translation.
- Google Sheets / Google Apps Script — used to securely receive newsletter signups.
6.2 Google AdSense (when enabled)
If and when we display advertisements on the Site, we may use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC.
- Google may use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this Site and other sites on the internet.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to caprajasthan.org and other sites.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.

6.3 Other Advertising Partners
We do not currently work with any other third-party advertising networks. If this changes, this Privacy Policy will be updated.

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information, including:
