About CAP Rajasthan
CAP Rajasthan is an independent, non-profit research and advocacy organisation. We publish research articles, opinion pieces, surveys, reports, and a flagship periodical (CAP Magazine), and we operate the CAP Lecture Series and Scholar Help Desk.
We are non-partisan with no affiliation to any political party, government department, or commercial entity. Our content reflects independent scholarly inquiry, not the views of any sponsor or affiliate.
Use of the Site
3.1 Permitted Use
You may use the Site for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes, including:
- Reading articles, opinions, surveys, and reports.
- Subscribing to our newsletter and registering for lectures.
- Sharing links to our content on social media or in academic citations.

4.2 Submissions for Publication
By submitting any work to CAP Rajasthan for editorial consideration, you confirm and agree that:
- The work is your original creation and does not infringe any third-party rights.
- You have the right to grant CAP Rajasthan permission to publish, edit, and distribute the work.
- The work has not been published elsewhere unless explicitly disclosed at the time of submission.
- You agree to our editorial process, which may include revisions, fact-checking, copyediting, and final approval.
- CAP Rajasthan reserves the right to accept, reject, or request changes to any submission at its sole discretion.
4.3 No Compensation
Unless explicitly agreed in writing in advance, CAP Rajasthan does not provide monetary compensation for published submissions. Authors retain copyright in their original work but grant CAP Rajasthan a perpetual licence to publish and distribute (see Section 5).
Content Ownership & Licensing
5.1 Our Content
All content published on caprajasthan.org — including articles, surveys, reports, magazine issues, lecture recordings, design elements, logos, photographs, and graphics — is the property of CAP Rajasthan or its respective contributors, and is protected by Indian and international copyright laws.
5.2 Author Rights
Authors who contribute work to CAP Rajasthan:
- Retain copyright in their original submitted work.
- Grant CAP Rajasthan a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, distribute, translate, reproduce, archive, and promote the work in any format.
- Acknowledge that CAP Rajasthan may include the work in our magazine, anthologies, and future compilations without additional permission.
- May republish their own work elsewhere with appropriate credit to CAP Rajasthan as the original publisher.
5.3 Permitted Use of Our Content
Readers and researchers may quote brief excerpts (up to 200 words) for academic, journalistic, or critical purposes, provided that:
- Proper attribution is given to CAP Rajasthan and the original author.
- A link to the original article on caprajasthan.org is included where applicable.
- The use does not misrepresent or distort the original meaning.

User-Generated Content
“User-Generated Content” includes comments on articles, replies to discussions, and any other material you post on the Site.
6.1 Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for any content you submit. You agree that all User-Generated Content will:
- Be civil, respectful, and relevant to the topic at hand.
- Not contain hate speech, harassment, defamation, or threats.
- Not include obscene, sexually explicit, or violent material.
- Not violate any third-party copyright, trademark, or privacy right.
- Not include personal information about others without consent.
- Not promote products, services, scams, or unsolicited advertising.
6.2 Our Rights Over User Content
By posting User-Generated Content, you grant CAP Rajasthan a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to display, distribute, and moderate that content on the Site.
We reserve the right — but assume no obligation — to:
- Edit, delete, or refuse to publish any user-submitted content.
- Disclose user-submitted content to authorities if required by law.
- Block or ban users who repeatedly violate these Terms.
Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in any of the following while using the Site:
Unauthorised Access
Attempt to hack, penetrate, or compromise our servers or security.
Automated Scraping
Use bots, crawlers, or AI systems to harvest content without permission.

- Independence: No content is influenced by political or commercial interests.
- Fairness: Opposing viewpoints are represented where relevant.
- Transparency: Conflicts of interest are disclosed; corrections are issued when errors are identified.
- Originality: Plagiarism is grounds for immediate retraction and permanent author exclusion.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Rajasthan, India.
Where applicable, you waive any objection to the venue or jurisdiction of these courts.
